Wired to Help: Providing Excellence in Electrical Services

The National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) is a leading representative of the electrical contracting industry, committed to enhancing the industry through continuing education, labor relations, current information, and promotional activities. With a rich history dating back to 1901, NECA has grown to become the voice of the electrical contracting industry, dedicated to promoting higher standards, quality workmanship, and training for a skilled workforce.

Our Services

At NECA, we offer a wide range of services designed to support the electrical contracting industry. We provide labor relations services at the chapter-local union level, as well as at the NECA-IBEW district and national levels. Our experts work to negotiate and administer labor agreements with local unions of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.

We also provide technical and training services, which include labor and operating cost data, manuals, and training courses on business management, estimating, job management, and accounting. Additionally, we offer apprenticeship and training programs to establish national standards and promote local programs.

We champion fair trade practices and promote the contractor's role in the distribution of electrical equipment and materials. Our codes and standards services provide representation on National Electrical Code committees, recommend changes to codes, and review licensing and inspection regulations.

Our insurance programs offer competitive life, accident, health, and business insurance coverage to ensure maximum coverage for the lowest cost. Our marketing services expand opportunities for members to secure more business at a profit and provide sales training and special marketing training.

We provide liaison services with architects, engineers, general contractors, building owners, and other branches of industry, promoting fair bidding and payment procedures. Our government relations services represent contractors' interests before local, state, and federal governments, informing legislators of the industry's views and assisting members with their problems with government contracting agencies.

Our Team
