Smith Electrical Contractors, Inc. is a highly respected and accomplished electrical contracting company that has been in operation for 40 years. We specialize in the coal industry, but have also diversified into other areas such as the natural gas and aggregate industries, as well as light industrial and commercial projects. Over the years, we have seen many changes and new technologies implemented, and we have successfully adapted and met every challenge that we have encountered.

Our company's strength comes from long-term key personnel who have a combined experience of over 138 years. We are licensed in Virginia, Kentucky, West Virginia, North Carolina, Indiana, Alabama, Pennsylvania, Ohio, South Carolina, and Tennessee. We have a comprehensive safety program that is MSHA and OSHA approved, and our employees are drug tested along with MSHA 5000-23 training annually. Additionally, we conduct weekly on-the-job safety meetings. We also have MSHA certified electricians and all of our employees have years of experience working on prep plants, train/truck loaders, and other surface mining installations.

We are able to provide small-scale integration services to enhance productivity to your process or application. This includes turn-key integration using Allen Bradley and Rockwell products, I/O cabinet installation, instrumentation installation, and loop controller installation.

Electrical Installation

We specialize in new construction and turn-key industrial installations from large to small-scale additions. We are experienced in electrical installations involving all hazardous locations, and all personnel receive continuous up-to-date safety training and are compliant with OSHA and MSHA regulations.

Maintenance

Smith Electrical has full-time maintenance personnel to assist in all types of facility maintenance. Our trained personnel are able to assist in the operation of industrial vehicles (articulating and conventional), forklifts, and other heavy equipment. We also provide electrical maintenance at your facility, ensuring that all electrical systems are functioning properly and safely.
