Our Story

Burkett Industries has a rich history that dates back to 1870, when Joel Burkett founded the Burkett Lightning Rod Company. The company manufactured and installed lightning protection systems, and at one time, even had its own foundry and cable machines. Over the years, the company evolved, and in 1942, Wendell Burkett formed Bud Burkett Electric, which focused on residential, agricultural, and commercial electrical wiring. The two divisions merged in 1963, and today, Burkett Industries Inc. is a full-service electrical contractor, offering a wide range of services to our customers.

Our team is comprised of experienced electricians, including Dick Burkett, our President; Jay Hensley, our COO and Corporate Secretary; Scott McNair, our Field Manager; and Kevin Mikolajczyk, our electrician. With over 100 years of combined experience, our team has the expertise and knowledge to handle any electrical project.
